Review of Beasts of No Nation (2015) by Late R — 17 Aug 2017
A truly haunting portrayal of war that is both beautifully shot and very well acted. Both Elba and newcomer Attah deliver fantastic performances -- between the two, they have no problem convincing you of the horrendous and brutal nature of war, especially in places that have no qualms about enlisting a child to commit atrocities.
You can't help but come out of the other side with a lot on your mind.
