Ok, this is were I loose any street cred I (MITE) have had, I adore this movie, Midler and Hershey are brilliant and for all its flaws its does attempt to show the complexitity and fragility of friendship and that love does win in the end, I have a soft spot for Midler(what gay man doesnt) and the scene when she and Hershey fight in a department store is heartbreaking and beautifuly executed, a must see for everyone who'd had a friend.
