Watching 'Be Kind Rewind' is like a big mixed bag of sweets, only someone has beaten you to all the best lollies. Gondry's imagination is ever present but the backbone of the film is pretty weak.
The laughs aren't consistent enough to hold it together, so it comes across a bit pointless. To credit the film, it has heaps of charm and character so it's still mostly enjoyable.
