Townes Van Zandt was certainly one of the most important songwriters of the last 50 year, yet few have ever heard of him. His most famous song, Poncho and Lefty, was made famous by the likes of Willie Nelson, but Van Zandt suffered a life of depression and addiction, which ultimately killed him.
This documentary is a celebration of Van Zandt's life and his incredible musical legacy. A must see for any music fan, wheter familiar with Van Zandt or not.
