A missed opportunity. The trailer promised satirical fun and while the first 20 minutes do offer some amusing moments, the majority of the jokes just don't land, despite the efforts of a talented cast.
The movie should have been funnier, in the vein of the vastly superior "21 Jump Street." The problem is the tone is way off and the movie takes itself too seriously. It was also in dire need of satirical edge.
The original TV show was campy to begin with and was ripe for spoofing. A disappointment, skip it.
