Review of Battlestar Galactica (1978) by Corey N — 22 Mar 2010
The original television series taken and put the first few shows into one big movie. Battlestar Galactica is a cult sci-fi classic from the late 70's. A story about a planet of humans on the run in space from the robot race called the Cylons.
The humans are in search of the legend planet called Earth. I enjoyed this when I was a child. I watched the movie, shows and had tons of the toys. After watching this again as a adult I found it to be a bit dull now.
The show had a great idea and great F/X for it's time. But does not hold up to today's standard. The shows did have a all star cast with Lorne Greene, Dirk Benedict, Richard Hatch and Jane Seymour to make the show more creditable.
I still enjoy the look of the Cylons today. They were great villains for the show. The show still has a loyal following and has spawned new television series for new fans. Worth a watch if you like sci-fi.
