So what if this movie was propaganda? While I have not seen many silent films, this one is definitely the best I've seen. This film is even more amazing since the fact that film was a new medium at the time.
"Battleship" changed and influenced film forever after. Even after all of the years past, the film, especially the "Odessa Staircase" sequence, it is still effective.
