Review of Battleship Potemkin (1925) by Victoria W — 23 Jun 2007
Propaganda was never so well-done! A great film, with very memorable sequences and an incredibly strong theme. Reportedly Charlie Chaplin's favorite film, it's a movie that speaks highly of the Russian revolution, divinely satanizing everything tsarism (and the Orthodox religion!) stands for.
A great movie, but doesn't come CLOSE to Citizen Kane.
