I just don't get you so called critics. Why would anyone rate a BOOORING movie (Interstellar, Shutter Island, Holmes etc) higher than a full-effects movie like this one? The main reason Battleship didn't make it was because it was released during the same period as the first Avengers movie and people went for the superhero genre.
At least Transformers are still going on and Pacific Rim. If I had the budget, I'd give it for a Battleship sequel and order a few hitmen on you unsatisfied "geniuses" because you are pests in the entertainment industry.
