Ugly, shoddy, dumb, and desperate, “Battlefield Earth” shows that, even with a decent cast, it’s possible to make a film that somehow goes against everything one would want in a typical movie, as everything, whether it be the story, visual effects, cinematography, is so lazy and overly derivative of other films this is clearly trying to rip off, that everything comes off as shallow and almost insulting.
