Oh my God I loved the premise of such a dystopian future so much I decided I wouldn't even consider its flaws. The idea, all the horrible, crude, heartless scenes, all of that just really struck me.
Plus, Kinji Fukasaku's style of direction reminded me of Quentin Tarantino. No wonder Tarantino loved it.
