Review of Battle Royale (2000) by Ben C — 08 Aug 2015
A film that predates The Hunger Games by more than a decade, Battle Royale is a gripping, dramatic, thrilling and provocative movie that likes to get everything as right as possible, especially the breakdown in morality.
Alongside the school teenagers fighting for survival, the game is helmed by Sensei Kitano (coincidentally played by Takeshi Kitano, who gives a hilarious, but well done performance).
