Review of Battle of the Sexes (2017) by Mohamed M — 03 Jan 2018
Good performances and a great sense of time help this light and slightly overrated comedy drama based on the tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King. Emma Stone is a good actress, though she is far too cute and girlie to give a convincing performance of the more masculine King.
Carell fares better. There isn't enough story here, however, to justify the length.
