Review of Battle of the Sexes (2017) by Cokronakan — 16 Oct 2018

I loved how the movie was able to give you the feeling that you where in the 70's. It had that vibe and everything was just on spot. The actors did such a great job on playing their characters I felt them so alive.

And really felt every single characters impact on the story. And was very powerful and emotional at the same time. The directing style and cinematography was perfect as well, it had that weight of immersion to it.

The script was done great, never felt like the dialog was cheesy, cliche or even repetitive. The whole movie just became more entertaining because of the writing. Also the VFX and SFX where just on spot.

Even better, they where great. The humor and the making fun scenes where great as well, they managed to be funny and entertaining without cursing. No pacing issue, the whole movie moved it's action and unfolded the events as it should be in every movie.

They didn't spend to much time with anything, but neither did they spend very little. The plot is pretty simple and follows Billie Jean King's perspective, but because it's simple it's delivered in such an fashionable way that everything feels so real and spiking interest in the watchers.

The life lesson is certainly there in the conclusion, but it depends on us the audience to decide what we hear. The movie had a great scope, and I think it touched on that. Overall this is an amazing movie, and I think this is how every movie should be at least, and then we would have only great movie.
