Review of Battle of the Bulge (1965) by Phil J — 16 May 2008
Okay, a really large production. But it annoys the hell out of me that they uses the wrong equipment. The battle formations and fighting looks very unrealistic and more made to look impressive to the uninformed viewer.
Also the story is problematic when one try to covers large scale action, but still connect it to people. Most of the attempts to cover it and make it really interested fails. As usual it is few character that makes this descent. Henry Fonda's colonel is one in his straight fight to do the right. Konrad is also quite interesting. Otherwise most seem to have depth of a single sheet of paper.
