This is probably one of the most underrated war movies of all time. The depictions of the aerial battles are nicely done. The special effects are dated but that doesn't stop this movie from being great.
The entire cast does an excellent job playing their parts. There are many different types of aircraft that took part in the real Battle of Britain but I guess many of them didn't survive after the war to be used in this film so we're only shown five different types of aircraft.
The cinematography as well as the aerial photography are excellent. Under used British composer Ron Goodwin provides a nice score that underscores the film's action and dramatic moments. If you like war movies, this is a must see.
