Review of Battle in Seattle (2007) by James N — 02 Dec 2009
I remember watching the G8 SUMMIT in SEATTLE in 1999. I remember watching the protests and wondering 'why'? I expected to watch BATTLE IN SEATTLE to gain some insight and understanding into the corporate corruption along with the need to establish a human rights agenda for the WTO.
Unfortunately, I left the film as confused as when I started the film. Human rights around the world is an issue whether it is censorship in CHINA or women's rights in IRAQ but the film needed better focus and more clarification.
I think I could have related to the film better if I had ever been involved in a protest for animal rights or nuclear disarmament.
