Review of Battle in Seattle (2007) by Scott R — 28 Jun 2012
Townsend had a chance to explain why the protestors were there and missed his chance. He made the protesters look like unemployed disaffected slackers. Some may have been, but the majority were not. I do like that he highlighted the fact that most wanted a peaceful, non-destructive protest and a small minority thought vandalism was the way to go.
Also he got the emotions right, the conflict felt by some in government, police, media and unaware bystanders. But he missed on the rest of this. He should have done more research.
