Bats attack residents in a small Texas town, so bat zoologists are called in. It is soon discovered the chiroptera are genetically modified to be intelligent, omnivorous, and vicious ostensibly to prevent their extinction.
The warden from Shawshank Prison (same glasses and all!) is the mad scientist who created these monstrosities. Because of the imminent danger posed to the human populace by the bat's new nature, the military is deployed in order to destroy the nest.
Dumb stuff and bad acting happens, sans any fright or scare. SyFy level crap you should avoid, even if you are rather chiropterophilous.
