Review of Batman: Year One (2011) by Thomas J — 12 Jul 2012
Very well done adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel. This is a fairly gritty and faithful adaptation, so parents may want to preview this as it's not intended for younger children. Ben McKenzie does a fine job voicing Batman (even if he isn't as good as Kevin Conroy) and Bryan Cranston is great as Jim Gordon.
Eliza Dushku has a smaller role as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, but she does justice to the part. The biggest flaw this film has is its running time- at only 64 minutes, things rush by, and you wish the movie were a bit longer.
Even still, this is well worth watching for Bat-fans.
