Review of Batman: Under the Red Hood (2010) by Rameez K — 02 Oct 2012
Follows the comic panel-by-panel.
Pretty violent for an animated film. Voice acting is flawless, John DiMaggio does a fantastic Joker, an excellent replacement for Mark Hammil.
The script has constant tension, there can only be 1 last outlaw. The fight to take Gotham involves a gang war between The Joker, Black Mask and The Red Hood and finally Batman, who as always is trying to clean up the city.
The most cinematic animated film I've seen, involving camera movements which remind me of the live action Batman films. The close-ups are particularly fun to look at.
Overall, a fun, violent, brutal and fulfilling adaptation of the Batman character.
