Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Marcus P — 29 Jul 2016
The Killing Joke is one of the darkest stories ever written and the film doesn't change much of what had been written by Alan Moore. But it also fails in a lot of areas. The Films Prologue was poorly written, Instead of a mobster whose name is Paris France (No Joke), we should have been given more Joker, a scheme that went haywire, one that was able to Barbara Gordon in the spotlight and show us, just how strong she is, thus setting the stage for The Joker to drive Commissioner Gordon mad .
Mark Hamil, however, saves the film with his spot-on performance as The Joker. Overall the film is somewhat of a let down, and Im hoping that in the future, they know not to mess up something like this.
