Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Bob S — 31 Jul 2016
Rated four stars because it's a very faithful adaptation, not because it's necessarily good. Brian Azzarello's bookending segments are catching grief among reviewers, but he really channels Alan Moore, in all his weakness.
So what do you want? Sure, Bruce Timm could have stepped in and created a framing device that actually made the film much better, but that wouldn't have been in keeping with Alan Moore's style.
