Review of Batman: The Killing Joke (2016) by Mohammed A — 25 Jul 2016
Comic book fans, especially myself, have been patiently waiting for Alan Moore's masterpiece to be adapted to film. That wait is finally over. If you are a die hard batman fan, this movie was made for you.
The Killing Joke was phenomenal across all spectrums. The animation was spot on, the action was amazing, and the story was dark and unbelievably twisted. You can't ask for more! The film was an highly accurate representation of the graphic novel.
Panel for panel, word for word, its like it was ripped out of the pages and plastered to a movie screen. Let's not forget about the actors. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill return to reprise their roles as the definitive Batman and Joker.
Tara Strong also returns to voice Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. Each actor delivers a performance of a lifetime! Overall, The Killing Joke was a faithful adaptation to the critically acclaimed graphic novel and will go down as one of the best DC animated films ever to grace the screen.
