Review of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 (2013) by Nathaniel O — 30 May 2013
The 2nd half of the animated adaptation of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns is every bit as stellar as the first. The appearance of The Joker is just superb (as is Michael Emersons' portrayal).
Sidenote: this is hands-down the most violent Batman film ever made (animated or not), and it is completely deserving of an R rating (despite its PG-13). If you like your bats dark, violent, and grim.
