Cartoon super hero movies are usually pretty mediocre, but when you create a cartoon movie off of arguably the best graphic novel ever made, you have an absolute blast of a movie! I would almost go as far to say watch The Dark Knight Returns is more enjoyable than watching the live action The Dark Knight Rises.
