Possibly DC's greatest animated work, The Dark Knight Returns is an incredibly accurate telling of the groundbreaking comic by Frank Miller. I can't stress enough how spot on they made this from the source material.
It looks and totally feels right, with beautiful dark colored animation, incredibly excellent voice work, (getting Peter Weller for Batman was an inspired choice, his voice was perfect) and you can't go wrong with the story.
Miller should be proud.
