Despite being one of the Michael Keaton-era Batman flicks, this one doesn't live up to the original. While I thought casting Danny Devito as the Penguin was inspired, the story just seemed a little too unbelievable to me.
Really, penguins can understand English? Really, the entire city would vote for a known mutant/psycho/crimelord as mayor right after he attacked a crowd during a Christmas tree lighting? The whole thing is just preposterous.
I guess we should've seen the signs, since the next few Batman movies were awful.
