I remember seeing this movie as a kid and it being very dark and sick in a way.
Rewatching now...while it is dated in some ways, I see the smarts in the dark atmospheric film. Devito was exceptional as the penguin here.
He is dark and twisted and really gross.
Phiefer is good also and does a really good job as Catwoman.
Both villains are sick in their own way and offer a sort of outside the box personality.
Keaton really does well as the tormented hero as he embraces the darkness of the Cape crusader.
Keaton really did a good job with Bruce Wayne. He didn't have the playboy attitude of the billionaire side that Bale showcased, but he did a good job showing his troubled nature.
A very good cast and bleek atmosphere makes this movie stick for a while.
