While it may not be a superior follow-up to Tim Burton's Batman, Batman Returns is a darkly wild comic book adventure with crazy performances by Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Christopher Walken, full creative control by Burton, and it works as a superhero movie sequel and a Burton movie!
