Review of Batman Returns (1992) by Casey R — 05 Jan 2014
It is what it is: a visually rich, overly grotesque, Tim Burton film. Despite its shortcomings it is a unique piece of work that shouldn't be overlooked. If I were to do something ridiculous, like pick the three most iconic, standout movies in the Batman cannon, this would be sitting right in between the 1966 "Batman" and Nolan's "The Dark Knight.
