Review of Batman Returns (1992) by Hunter S — 26 Nov 2014
While Tim Burton's style is as interesting and Gothic as ever this movie contains far too many silly moments to be as serious as its dark tone intends it to be. Also like its predecessor it puts too much focus on the villains developing the title character to a bare minimum.
Its definitely elevated by a great performance by Michelle Pfeiffer who has interesting romantic chemistry with Michael Keaton.
