Review of Batman: Gotham Knight (2008) by Sharon R — 06 Sep 2008
Loved 'Batman Begins' and thought 'The Dark Knight' was pretty cool too, so I was interested in this animated film. Set just after the events of 'Batman Begins', this film is basically a selection of short stories about our beloved caped crusader.
Theres plenty of blood letting (It's a 15 certificate) - One sequence shows a baddie getting decapitated, Batman has a wound and we see blood splatter on the floor, another sees a man being shot in the forehead by a sniper.
The subject matter is very dark and mature, so I definately wouldn't advise this for children, as its more in the style of violent Manga films than the cartoons you see on a Saturday morning on ITV.
If you liked the last two (Good) Batman films, you'll like this.
