Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Rox22 — 06 Apr 2013
I honestly did not think much of this movie. While I did like Nolan's approach, I also felt it was just another origin story. A bland one at that. The Villains are just very flat and Liam Neeson's Ra's al Ghul is really only an evil version of Qui-Gon Jinn from the Phantom menace. Cillian Murphy does a decent enough job as a young Scarecrow, but the writing really does very little for such an iconic Batman villain.
Overall:
Batman Begins may serve as a "realistic" Batman origin story, but that for me takes something away from the character. An OK movie that is well made, but for me, fails to capture the essence of the comics.
