Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Cory B — 27 Mar 2016
The curse of Batman is that he has to relive the terrible murder of his parents over and over. After seeing so many Batman films I can honestly say I know how he feels. The film is yet another origin story of the Dark Knight and does little to establish Gotham as the hotbed of insanity.
At most it is a man against the mob pic with Cillian Murphy being the only man to don a mask aside from Batman. Christian Bale's performance as Bruce Wayne is reserved without making any great strides to be great or bad.
His Batman growls his lines to the point of absurdity coming off more as a pro wrestler than a quiet shadow of the night.
