Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Noah H — 18 Mar 2016
A cracking reboot. Great origin story and extremely dark in places. Oldman is perfectly cast as Gordon, Caine was born to play Alfred, a serious twitch off Holmes, fine support from Neeson, Hauer, Wilkinson and Murphy.
Bale might not be Michael Keaton but he is a good Bruce Wayne/Batman. Like the majority of first time features from a franchise establishing the background story can dilute the final product. Batman Begins nails it.
