Review of Batman Begins (2005) by Santino D — 27 Mar 2016
The first chapter of Christopher Nolan's Batman reboot was a successful one indeed.
With remarkable cast performances including Christopher Bale as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Gary Oldman as James Gordon, and Liam Neeson as Henri Ducard. As this movie can be confusing and slow at times in the first act because of its complex story telling and variety of characters. Most of this movie sets up the 2nd and 3rd chapters of the Batman trilogy as none of the villains are put down for good. Great action sequences both on ground and in bat-mobile. Despite great story, stellar cast performances, and action-pack fighting scenes it lacks intensity and holds presence to a lot of 'stiff' action and talking scenes unlike the 2nd and 3rd installments of the trilogy.
