Review of Batman & Robin (1997) by Antony R — 05 Aug 2013
One of the worst sacks of shit I've ever seen in my life. A living breathing toy commercial locked inside a high profile expensive turd that completely destroys the batman character and universe in ways that will hopefully never be seen again.
Featuring a villain that was so tragic and brilliant on the animated series that is turned into a pun spewing jackass who sings christmas songs in a damn ice scream shop. a sidekick thats turned into a whiny ungrateful dumbass, a batman who has damn credit card! A CREDIT CARD! HOW DOES A MASKED VIGILANTE HAVE CREDIT EXACTLY.
Why would he even have a credit card as his superhero self. Why am I asking this dumb ass question!!!!!!!!!This is a film that 16 years ago nearly destroyed the superhero genre and that fact that we're living in the year 2013 and the genre is prospering is a miracle in itself.
This was made in a time where the filmmakers didn't give a crap about Batman, or even giving us a reasonably good movie. They just cared about selling happy meals and making punk ass parents happy.
They put nipples on the suit, they showed buttcracks on the suit, and batman and robin fought over women and neon lights. There is only one saving grace to this poop, and that is that it was so bad that it killed the original batman series, and that it took 8 years for Batman to return and finally grab the status in film that he already had everywhere else with the birth of "The Dark Knight Trilogy" Now this film is just a memory of an era that has long since died.
