Review of Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) by Phil H — 15 Aug 2017
Much like last years The Killing Joke Adaptation, Batman & Harley Quinn is a 40 minutes at best TV episode padded out to (just) feature length by some baffling sequences (think passing wind in the car or Harley singing) and script choices.
It's very crude at times and feels pretty childish. Yes it shouldn't be all doom and gloom (we a have BVS and the live action DC universe for that ) but tonally it has no idea what it wants to be.
Also I wasn't that enamoured with the story. Animated Batman is always fun but we are light years away from Mask Of The Phantasm here...
