Review of Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) by Bily T — 06 Oct 2017
Batman and Harley Quinn is a decent movie, I haven't seen every DC animated movie, as I only started watching them when Batman the Killing Joke came out last year, but I've slowly began watching these movies since I do like DC Comics and I love the Batman series so I'm open for some of these animated movies.
This movie was written by the Jim Krieg and Bruce Timm who were writers on the Batman animated series from 1992 so it should've meant this movie would be really good, but unfortunately this movie doesn't even surpass the 90's cartoon by a long shot, don't get me wrong it is a decent movie but we have seen better from both DC and Batman before so this was more of a disappointment for me which is sad to say really.
This movie's story is okay, the acting is good, the cast members are a nice choice, the music is pretty good, the animation is nicely done and some of the jokes do give me a chuckle.
It is disappointing to see this movie like this since it did look like it was gonna be a good movie, things that made it not so good would have to do with the unneeded sex scene with Nightwing and Harley Quinn, the odd references to the 1960's Batman show and also being the story of nature wanting to take down the human race because they're killing the world.
I wouldn't really recommend this as your first DC animated movie or even first Batman animated movie since there are better movies than this, but there are worse movies than Batman and Harley Quinn, if you want to check it out anyways I'd say give it one watch and make your own mind up of what you think.
I give Batman and Harley Quinn a 5 out of 10, a decent movie but we have seen better than this and we've seen worse than this.
