Review of Batman and Harley Quinn (2017) by Zachary H — 14 Aug 2017

It is hard to keep up the good work after this excellent, funny, sexy Harley Quinn film. Still, there is a lot to be done about artists finishing and shadowing. Political reference in this animation is very vivid and makes it dramatically more gripping than most of the previous Batman animated films.

Sam Liu has taken such concept of films to another new level where it becomes alive instead of just cartoons drawn rapidly. A great scene when Nightwing was sniffing information from the public would put any audience at the edge of their chairs.

The storylines are satisfyingly suitable for the world's greatest detective's movie that continuously relate to more than everyday conversations. After last year's long waited Killing Joke film, it was inevitable that some adults' scenes are included in Batman and Harley Quinn, and it was not a disappointment at all.

Actually, it did even exceed the earlier's level by including some LGBT+ inference and explicit content which make it even more realistic. Some easter eggs were scattering around in the film, but the one in the crosswords scene is a doll.

Speaking of dolls, I was little cynical about Melissa Rauch since Arleen Sorkin and Hynden Walch nailed it, but with the "off the grid" Harley, Melissa just added a milestone to Quinn's resume.

Although the Joker didn't make any presence in this episode, you are still in for a treat in a series of hilarious punch-lines.
