Review of Batman (1989) by Bfoore90 — 04 Sep 2015
Probably one of my favorite Batman movies of all time, Burton did an incredible job with this film and bringing "The Gotham Knight" to the big screen. It also can't be understated how good Michael Keaton is as Bruce Wayne and Batman, he really plays both sides incredibly well despite being known as a man of comedy at the time of accepting the role.
Jack Nicholson was just incredible as well, though his Joker is more of a gangster gone mad than a truly unhinged clown as you might know Heath Ledger's iconic performance or Mark Hamill's adaption of the character.
The CGI and special effects obviously don't age well and the films overall gothic tone is dark enough to make even Zack Snyder quiver in his boots. But even then, Batman is a classic.
