Review of Batman (1989) by Tim F — 15 Jan 2018
I adore this movie. It is by far the most unique take on Batman that I have ever seen and I just loved what Tim Burton did with him, but that doesn't mean the movie's perfect. It occasionally gets slightly boring with long dialogue scenes (thankfully the dialogue is actually pretty good, charming in some places) and we unfortunately don't see a ton of Batman.
But when we do, it is great. Bruce Wayne plays a prominent role in this film, and I actually like that but would have preferred to see more of his alter ego. Michael Keaton is brilliant, and he plays my favorite Batman to date.
Same with Jack Nicholson, who is also my favorite Joker do date. It might not be the best Batman movie, but it is my favorite.
