The limitations of that time, the deficient combat and the main plot affect negatively.
However, it is a very complete and well made movie, with a well-acted Bruce Wayne, a perfect Batman (despite the ironic performance thanks to his limited hood) and the best Joker (based on the comics) that it has existed.
In definitive, a great Batman movie and a great Tim Burton movie.
