Review of Baskın (2013) by Zachary%20 R — 10 Jan 2018
The moment when the "Adulteress' Punishment" theme song from the 1980 film "Cannibal Holocaust" came on, the apogee of this film was reached. And it was a good film at that, but didn't quite reach greatness as the fulfillment of its central characters' journey remained incomplete.
EDIT: I went back and watched several parts again and I now realize the obvious: *SPOILERS* -----.
It appears that Arda, the main character, is STUCK in a time loop. I thought he had escaped the loop by using the "key". It's still not 100% clear whether he did escape or not, but it is clear why narrative journey of Arda's feels unsatisfactory. I would love to pick the directors/writers' collective brain on these points, not literally of course... haha.
