"Underrated camp classic".
To me the movie was entertaining and suspenseful. Yes it's corny, implausible in every way and the dialogue is just as silly. It definitely falls squarely into the "so bad it's good" category and of course it's not up to par with the original. But it's a decent movie by itself. However one of the things the film offers is pure entertainment and it delivers it well. I knew this movie would be bad, but I never expected to be actually entertained by the sheer ludicrousness of the plot.
