Review of Basic Instinct 2 (2006) by Baurushan J — 10 Jul 2012
My god was this film awful. Did Basic Instinct need a sequel? The first film was conclusive so there really was no need for a second movie. But anyway, let's see what this psychological damage has delivered compared to the first psychological masterpiece.
Sharon Stone returns as crime novelist Catherine is brought back to investigation after the mysterious death of an athlete superstar, the leader of the investigation Michael is slowly brought into the psychotic sexy world.
If you still don't believe me about how bad this movie was compared to the original classic at it's best, well let me tell you. The film itself did poorly at the box office, suffered from critics by comparison to the first 1992 film, won four Golden Raspberry Awards with an extra three nominations and was in cinemas for approximately two and a half weeks.
That information alone should tell you how bad this movie is and hopefully should make you stay away from it for your safety as well. Basic Instinct 2: "Risk Addiction" (as some people like to call it) gets a 4/10.
