Review of Basic Instinct 2 (2006) by Sean S — 28 Sep 2012
Fully unnecessary and attempting to be as charismatic and demented as the original, the English setting as Catherine's new haunt doesn't help fully convince either. Sharon Stone's return is also not as beneficial as one might be led to believe, spouting the same "Did I or didn't I" come-ons she did in Paul Verhoeven's superior predecessor.
The franchise was probably better left alone, considering this film also pretty much ends with the same result the first did.
