Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Tyler G — 14 May 2011
Watching this movie I can completely tell that there is a lot of material from the novel (which I haven't read) that has been cut out. I feel like this has had some impact on the film as it feels in many scenes like they are glossing over the story and not telling it all.
That being said, it's a pretty good movie but Paul Giamatti's performance makes this film worth watching. And Rosamund Pike. And Scott Speedman. And Dustin Hoffman. And everyone else too, but it's really Giamatti that makes this one worth seeing. He won a golden globe for this one, and it's well deserved.
