Review of Barney's Version (2010) by Brian H — 12 Jul 2011

I absolutely adore the love story portion of this but can't for the life of me process the seemingly random murder mystery component that comes and goes from the story so quickly. Sure, it casts a shadow over the character and adds some intrigue but in the end feels like, "so what?".

Regardless of that the performances are fantastic with Giamatti, Hoffman, and - one of my major girl crushes - Rosamund Pike delivering fine work. Definitely worth seeing!
